Carson Sievert

Carson Sievert is a software engineer on the Shiny team at RStudio. Carson brings a PhD in statistics to his engineering role with the goal of delivering better data visualization and statistical computing tools to scientists and analysts. His work on the R package plotly for interactive data visualization was recognized by the ASA with the 2017 Chambers Award. Before joining RStudio in late 2018, Carson ran a consulting business delivering data-driven software products and training services to organizations such as the Library of Congress, NOAA, Sandia National Labs, and TCB Analytics.
